We took the morning today to sleep, as last night was a late one!!! We got into NYC around noon, had lunch at the street stands and headed up to get an Italian Ice at Rita’s in upper Manhattan. We got to Broadway for our 3pm show of the Fantasticks and everyone really enjoyed the show! It was just off Broadway, which made it nice in a different way, as it wasn’t grandiose like Spiderman yesterday, but more intimate. It’s been a while since I’ve been Off-Broadway and I forgot how much I liked the way you are right there, where you can touch the actors. We were in the 2nd row and the view was perfect!!!

Aaron Carter was in the play for a few weeks (and I just found out he was Mackenzie’s childhood crush, not sure how I forgot that, but it’s been a while) and he came out afterwards and took a picture with us and hung out for a bit. He was really sweet with us and said he wanted to be a part of our family (little does he know) and be my 4th son. As he made that statement, I found myself feeling punched in the gutt (he is 24) and flattered, all at the same time!

We went to Jing for dinner and had an amazing Chinese meal. Colorado doesn’t have good Chinese, so the whole clan was very happy to get to enjoy a wonderful Asian culinary experience for a change! We tried to make it to the World Trade Center Memorial before it closed, but missed it and will try again in the morning before we leave the park. We got in relatively early (around 9:00) and are trying to get all to sleep quickly, as tomorrow will be fast and furious to get to the Memorial.
